| What was your experience like in terms of navigating the bills/medical reports/tests between SG and Kaiser? Did you get any run around or anything you can tell me would be great. Thank you. |
|
Yes - a total piece of cake. SG already knows the co-pay; that is what you pay after each visit. Down the road you will get an "explanation of benefits" from Kaiser that notes their payment (behind the scenes) of the remainder.
Good luck - IVF worked on the first try for me! |

Thank you pp. That puts me at a little ease.
Congrats on the pregnancy! |
| We are just beginning our first IVF attempt @ SG with our Kaiser/fed insurance. So far the billing has run smoothly but it took MONTHS to get all the preliminary tests done. Not sure if that would have been different with another (non Kaiser) provider, though. |
| Strange that it took "months" to get the tests done; bloodwork is fast/easy, as is SA. The HSG, however, can be tough to schedule. You have to really watch the dates and call as soon as you get your period as the appointments book up fast (and they will only do it certain days of your cycle). |
|
OP here - so you are saying you had to get done bloodwork and HSG at Shady Grove? Did you not get this done before hand or did you have to repeat it?
My OB did not give me a referral until I got 3rd day bloodwork and HSG done (on Kaiser's dime at Kaiser facility). |
