We are meeting some friends and their kids for a picnic this weekend and I am stumped as to what to bring aside from the usual bread and cheese. (And of course other kid friendly foods!). I was thinking rosemary cheddar biscuits with ham as I can bake them before we leave, wrap in foil, and have them still be somewhat warm by the time we eat. I am at a loss, however, for what else to being. I would love something seasonal as opposed to just "pasta salad".
Thanks! |
| Roasted root vegetables are great and picnic friendly. |
Yum. You hit the nail on the head, first try. You know what would go with that? Apples. Apple muffins, apple tarts, apple pie, or just plain old crisp crunchy apples. |
| Or apple cider. |
| If you wrap biscuits in foil when warm they'll be soggy by the time you get around to eating them. Better to let them cool. |

It is amazing!!! A hit whenever we have people over. You could bake it up and put it in individual portion containers. |
| Sounds delicious, but worried it might be soggy towhee it comes time to eat. |

Seasonal? We are halfway through a batch of pumpkin muffins that are wonderful.
Cranberry scones also come to mind. |
