Fall Picnic Brunch Recipes

Anonymous
We are meeting some friends and their kids for a picnic this weekend and I am stumped as to what to bring aside from the usual bread and cheese. (And of course other kid friendly foods!). I was thinking rosemary cheddar biscuits with ham as I can bake them before we leave, wrap in foil, and have them still be somewhat warm by the time we eat. I am at a loss, however, for what else to being. I would love something seasonal as opposed to just "pasta salad".

Thanks!

Roasted root vegetables are great and picnic friendly.

Yum. You hit the nail on the head, first try.

You know what would go with that? Apples. Apple muffins, apple tarts, apple pie, or just plain old crisp crunchy apples.

Or apple cider.

If you wrap biscuits in foil when warm they'll be soggy by the time you get around to eating them. Better to let them cool.

It is amazing!!! A hit whenever we have people over. You could bake it up and put it in individual portion containers.

Seasonal? We are halfway through a batch of pumpkin muffins that are wonderful.

Cranberry scones also come to mind.
