Mitt Romney doesn't even have a pension, as he took no salary from the state of Massachusetts while governor. Obama, on the other hand, will start collecting his presdiential pension (approx. $200,000 annually) as soon as he leaves office in January...and get it for the rest of his life. That's not even touching his Illinois State pension. So much for continuting to fuel the class-war, Mr. President, and paint yourself as the "little guy." Blech.

Do you really want to have a discussion about Mitt Romney's $100 million IRA? Great. There is enough in that story to bash Romney with for a week.
Or, maybe we should talk about Romney's "blind trust" which is managed by his personal lawyer? |
It's not about the mertis of Romey's or Obama's wealth, Jeff, it is about how Obama is fueling a class-war, while paiting himself as just a middle-class guy. He is not truthful. |
Oh, please. You really think Mitt Romney has no pension? He might have no government pension, but he sure as hell has a pension. Ridiculous. |
It's not class-war, it's the fact that Romney invests heavily in China but wants you to believe he could get tough on them. |
Come on. Obama is not painting himself as a middle class guy. He routinely says that people like him can afford to pay a little more. He is including himself among the rich that he thinks should be taxed more.
Even though Obama is doing well financially -- primarily because of his books -- and as any former President will do very well after leaving office, his is not in the same wealth league as Romney. That is pretty obvious, don't you think? |
I don't get it. Romney keeps blathering about his "blind trust", yet Bain Capital and Romney knowingly sent jobs to, and invested in China. Heck, Romney even visited one of the factories in China and commented on the barbed-wire fence around the factory. http://2012.talkingpointsmemo.com/2012/09/romney-camp-silent-on-whether-bain-purchased-brutal-chinese-factory.php and http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/dailyweekly/2012/10/romney_contradicts_romney_on_blind_trusts.php |
Obama is a hypocrite to talk about Romney investing in foreign companies and loosely rleated Swiss bank account holdings when in fact his public pension does the same. Obama's government funded retirement makes no effort to only invest in USA funds so why the big deal about a private corporations? Don't claim something is wrong when you in fact do the exact same thing. |
Obama continues to fuel class-warfare by making misleading statements about his own wealth by veiled (and not so veiled) references to Romney's. We all know that Romney is wealthy, just like Obama and other rich democrats - John Kerry, the Kennedys, and many others (several of whom, including Kerry, are way richer than Romney). However, there is a pre-occupation with Romney's wealth; that Obama continues to try to exploit it is not good for him or for the county. He is not honest. Period. |
not sure if you are doing this on purpose. i believe your ilk tried the same stunt with debbie wasserman schultz. the problem is not investing in international funds or stocks. the problem is investing overseas PERIOD in order to avoid taxes and what have you. let that sink in again. its is not about investing in international companies or stocks. it is about investing internationally/overseas so as to not pay taxes on that income. i believe you know this because you specifically said "USA funds" as some slick way to pivot from the true issue. why does this matter to you so much that you split hairs to make points on the most insignificant bullshit? is it not enough that you can argue simply on obama's record? you have to concern yourself to garbage like this? show me obama is investing overseas to avoid taxes and ill entertain your gunk. continue to yap your nonsense and you wasting everyone's time |
Crazy threads like this indicate to me that Obama is winning again. |
Bain continues to pay him as part of his retirement deal. 2 million last year That's on top of his other retirement assets.
OP your version of truth is a joke. |
Jeff - why do you even bother responding to people who obviously aren't going to listen to the other side of the story? You have much more patience for their BS than most of us do. |
You must be a libtard because the argument being used against Romney is over seas investments in companies that may invest in swiss banks. There is nothing in regards to avoiding taxes. |
14:36, first off, please refrain from the "libtard" slur. Or for the sake of your children, not let one of them be born Down's as you clearly are not capable of loving someone who does not fit your 8 1/2 X 11 box.
Second, Romney women, get back in your binders. No one wants to hear it. |
