Overwhelmed with chargers--how to organize?

Anonymous
Since almost everything has a charger now--cameras, phones, tablets, my headset, etc. Of course they all use a different type. I am finding it hard to keep them organized.

Right now they are all in a drawer in my desk in my kitchen, and when I need to use one it is hard t find.

How do you organize yours?

I throw them all in a basket that I keep on my kitchen desk. I wrap the cords and tie them with baggie ties. It helps some, but I have the same problem as you.

same problem and we charge everything frequently.

right now we charge the following on a regular basis:

laptop
baby monitor
3 smart phones (2 personal, 1 work)
nook
breast pump

then we occasionally need to charge the camera and things i'm probably forgetting.

For the dailies, I have a power strip with the chargers plugged in, then have the chargers lying on a side table. I know it's not great for energy consumption, but best we can do now.

I've thought about something like this:

We have one of those little charger cabinet things like PP linked. It helps A LOT. Though I think I read somewhere that keeping a charger plugged in, even if the device isn't connected, drains power. I should probably be unplugging the main source every morning...

What really grates my cheese is when the transformer (or whatever that box thing is) is located at the plug, instead of midway along the cord, so that it blocks the adjacent outlet. I have eight outlets on my powerstrip cabinet thing, but can use five of them at most. When will manufacturers figure this out??

I don't keep all of mine in the same place. Baby monitor by the bed, iPad/iPhone ones by the couch (plug them in to charge when I'm hanging out there at night), etc. I use these on the backs of the side tables/nightstand etc to keep them from slipping down :

label them as soon as you open the box--they all look alike and it's easy to get them lost.

buy a multi-use one that plugs into the car (and leave it in the car), so your cell phone, ipad, camera etc. can stay charged when your out and about
