what do Braxton-Hicks contractions feel like?

I'm 32 weeks and don't think I've had them yet, but occasionally I feel what I think is the baby's butt press up against my uterus and it feels very hard. Is it possible that the hard sensation is actually a b/h?

Could be either. If the whole/most of the stomach feels hard it is definitely BH. I jokingly used to refer to DS as my "rock baby". I wish I could go back to those kinds of BH. In my second pregnancy, now 37 weeks, I get a lot more BH and they are actually painful!

For me...it felt like a very mild PMS cramp. The feeling went away as quickly as it came. Just enough for me to think, "huh, that was odd".

Mine felt like a giant rubber band around my belly.

Me too. I just asked my OB about this yesterday, actually. Mine feel like mild period cramps, lasting maybe 10 seconds or so. I get them more at night, presumably b/c I've been active all day, etc.
