I am considering putting our baby in day care as we are moving and our nanny can't come with us. Can anyone recommend a good daycare around H street in NE DC? Does anyone have any experience with the Loving Care day nursery?
Our baby has always been with an amazing nanny who adores him and I am a bit stressed about the idea of him going to daycare and being there in a classroom with 40 children...any tips or experiences are welcome!! Thanks! |
| Look at in-home daycares. There are several in that area. |
| Thanks! - Do you have any suggestions in particular? |
| I don't know Loving Care Day Nursery, but it's against the law to have 40 children in a childcare classroom in the District of Columbia. If that's what you're seeing you should seek another place. |
| Check out Ms. Bena's on Maryland Ave. It is an in home daycare, so often spaces are not available, but I know families that have been very pleased. |

I realize these messages are from almost one year ago but I was wondering if you found a good day care arounf H street NE DC?

| Agree would be good to know about daycare/nanny options near H street. Is there a MOTH group for H? |

BUMP?
Called the number for Ms. Bena but it was disconnected. Any help there? Other in-home daycares in Cap Hill / H St. / RFK / SE area? Bueller? |
| I know of a good in-home daycare that is not far from RFK stadium (it's right across the DC line in Capitol Heights). The provider is extremely caring and has years of experience and is quite the baby whisperer. She takes kids six weeks to preschool age. If you would like more information please let me know. |
