pain right side

Anonymous
I have had dull pains in my right lower abdomen for about 4 days and my period is now a day late.
We are ttc and I did have some interesting symptoms previously.
Tests show neg, but the little pains get me worried. (Sorry about the tmi.)

Has anyone else experienced this? I've been reading about chemical pregnancies on this forum, but I don't know if I should wait for my period or call the dr.

This could be so many things. I'd suggest checking with your doc. It could be your appendix. It could be endometriosis (mine always kicked in just before/at the beginning of my period). I also had ovarian pain (usually around ovulation), but that was a little higher in my abdomen, but not as high as my belly button. I've never had an ectopic pregnancy, but it could be that, but I'd think you'd get a BFP on the HPT.

Thanks.
I definitely get the mittleschmerz (badly!) but already ovulated earlier this month.
I thought about the ectopic also, since I haven't tested positively.

Not sure appendicitis; I thought that was supposed to be more sharp pains and other symptoms.

Appendicitis is accompanied by fever and sharp stabbing pains so it doesn't sound like it.

Could it be the "tingling" that some people feel during implantation? Not sure if you can "feel" implantation, but I was so sure that is what is was when I was TTCing and keeping track of everything.

My mother had a "chronic" (non-acute) appendicitis. I think they may be fairly rare, but does not present with the typical "sharp pains" as described by an acute appendicitis. Still same outcome though -- she had to have her appendix removed. Also, the fever can be low-grade, so some people might not notice unless they take their temp.

It could also be an ovarian cyst. I had one of those, and the pain was quite bad.
