Why do people w/o children troll this site?

And yes, I'm referring to the 29 y.o.,married to mid-life crisis guy, who says she doesn't want her own biological children (yeah, right.) Then why the hell are you, and others like you, spending so much time here? it's bizarre. have you never heard of reddit?

Well there are several subsections that don't relate to children. DH and I are TTC (which there is a sub section for) but if it doesn't work out...I'll be sure to stop coming to this blog so as not to offend you. There are also *GASP* people who post on here that arent from the DC area.

But just do a search on this topic. Jeff has said he welcomes non-parents as well as non DC /area residents.

I think it's been established in numerous other posts that many, many people without children read and post on DCUM. I'm a teacher and read parts of DCUM for obvious reasons. Once I stumbled across the Off-Topic forum (this one) it was like a train wreck. I couldn't look away. And I think most would agree that this Off-Topic forum has very little, if nothing, to do with parenting. Really, if you came across this forum and just happened NOT to have kids, would you leave?

That's all well and good, but I don't appreciate non-parents posting parenting advice on those specific forums, because you really have NO IDEA what it's like to be a parent until you become one. None.

How do you know they are? Are they saying they have an idea? I'm the teacher who posted earlier, and FWIW don't post on the General Parenting thread, because I can't give an informed opinion. I guess DCUM is like any place on the internet; you either have to give everyone the benefit of the doubt or take it all with a grain of salt / treat it like a crock of ****. Because as you know, on the internet, you'll never know the truth.
