| I'm posting this for my mom. She's recently single (out of a 10 year relationship with her boyfriend) and she would like to start dating. She's not sure how to go about meeting new people in this area. Does anyone have suggestions? She's attractive, thin, energetic, down to earth, has no health problems and likes to travel. Any suggestions are appreciated! |

Through interesting friends. That's how my aunt (who meets the same description and has never played bingo nor gone to church in her adult life) met her new lover.
Is she involved in community activities? |
| The same advice that I give to anyone of any age trying to date. First, start by picking a hobby, avocation or past-time that you'll enjoy doing whether you are in a committed relationship or not. Take up doing that. Then look for others who are also doing this and look for potential partners there. It is always easier to date someone if you have a passion or past-time that you enjoy doing together. You also have a better chance to stay together if you have something in common. The worst relationships I've seen are between people who have nothing in common other than the desire to want to date. |
