Can parents provide updates on these schools this year-Washington Latin and City Collegiate?

Hi parents: I am interested in tracking the progress of these two charter schools as they look like possible viable options for high school later down the road (I have a daughter at a different charter in elementary school).

How have the first couple of weeks been at these schools?

My DC is at Washington Latin's upper school (currently 8th and 9th grades this year). DC is very happy. The school is running much more smoothly with solid leadership. The facilities are nice -- the old British School. Lots of homework but DC likes that. Great teachers.

I'm not a big fan of negative yet vague posts. I tend to distrust the motives.

If anyone has something first hand to report about City Collegiate it would be nice to hear that. (Even if it's only to report how much you like their terrifically convenient location.)
