Period after D&C?

I had a D&C for a missed miscarriage in mid-August. My period still has not returned.... does anyone know about how long this usually takes?

I am sooo sorry for your loss! I had a D&C on August 1 and just got my first period August 29. My doctor said usually 4-6 weeks is normal. Good luck!

It took me 7 weeks to have a period. I am sorry for your loss.

I unfortunately have no information to offer you yet - as I just had a miscarriage 2 weeks ago. I ended up not having a D&C - not to hi-jack, but I'd be interested in any experiences with when people have gotten their periods back after that. I am so sorry for your loss. I am confident that there will be better days for you ahead.

Hi, it's OP. I actually started my period again the evening that I wrote the post (2 days ago). So it was almost exactly a month to the day after having the D&C.

Thank you for the kind words of sympathy. It's not fun, is it?
