In or out? I love the look and I wear it frequently but I just realized that I never see anyone else wearing this style though. I wear brown, tight-fitting, high-heeled knee boots with wide-legged, mid-calf dressy pants. I am 5'7" and of average build.

Eeek, sorry that just doesn't sound good.
NOOOO. I think the problem is the wide legged mid calf pants, not the boots. Boots are great with pants tucked in or leggings or skirts.
I don't think it's particularly in, but that wouldn't stop me if the pants & boots are nice and the style looked good on me.
OP - not super wide-leg, just not form fitting. They are more like regular trouser width, not skinny. Better?
No, sorry. Sounds like capri dress pants. |
you mean gaucho style pants with boots? I wore them a bunch when it was "trendy" about 8 years ago- I don't have any now but if they are made of the right material (like a tweed or something really polished with a cashmere sweater) i probably would think the outfit was just fine. I also think that it might read a bit "older"- i can see it on a stylish 60 something lady with a great silver head of hair. i think its about knowing the shape that is best for you- if it works, and the materials/cut don't look too much like a trend then its fine to wear silouettes that are more "out" at this particular time
I would say "out", but wear what you like. If you feel comfortable and confident...go for it. When I say out, I mean the capri trousers.
out. cute 5+ years ago. sorry.
Yeah. I loved that outfit-- but haven't worn it since 2006.
Not good. Sorry.
