At first, I thought this was an Onion piece or some other piece of satire. But, evidently it is not:
http://clarendon.patch.com/articles/romney-mailer-in-northern-virginia-targets-lyme-disease-08fb6652?ncid=newsltuspatc00000001 Has anyone in NOVA received this? Is it just the most hilarious thing ever? That anti-government candidates want to improve "synergies" within agencies to eradicate Lyme Disease. I realize Lyme Disease is a problem hereabouts, but, really, this is a federal issue? What am I missing here? |
Perhaps he is synchronizing deer kill on all federal sites in Virginia. Maybe he also will pick up the tab for river rescues and any local expenses [taxes] generated for having to perform river rescues. Perhaps they will track the deer from federal to county to state to private property. He also will have minions on a mission and readily available for coyote shoots /capturing. He will ensure haul off of all carcasses generated by any activity. Hah. |
Synergy. 1990 called it wants its euphemism back.
Maybe someone should tell him that he can't actually lay off the deer ticks. |
Apparently it's a dog whistle to Michael Farris followers-- he's known mostly for homeschooling advocacy, but he also believe in longterm doses of antibiotics for Lyme disease (his wife's doctor actually lost his medical license in NC for overprescribing antibiotics).

That's the most absurd thing ever. I've never heard of Michael Farris and I doubt anyone other than a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of northern Virginians will have. |
Wow, what a callous bunch. Is it the use of Lyme disease as his example that irks you, or a goal to help bring an end to a debilitating disease that none of you have obviously had the pleasure of experiencing. What if Romney had substituted Lyme with ALS? Or better yet, West Nile?
http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/west-nile-virus-leaves-man-disabled-years-after-the-bite-of-an-infected-mosquito/2012/10/01/b552c768-0408-11e2-91e7-2962c74e7738_story.html Would any of you be willing to admit you've probably attacked him for not being specific? It's certainly better than the cures for cancer promises we always get. |
Which candidate promised a cure for cancer? |
Are you assuming I was directing that at anyone in particular? It's a metaphor for specifics vs. non specifics. |
I don't know, this looks like a plot to make Virginians more dependent on the government. Don't buy it! ![]() |
He is getting rid of all the ticks. Only room for one blood-sucker in town. |
Socialism...whats next a "center for disease control and prevention"? |
Lol pps you are hilarious ![]() |
Kind of ironic that you were not being specific. |
You really gotta to give it to Romney for his singular focus on the economy. Oh, wait. . . . |
It is difficult to focus on just one of the president's failings, when there's such a wide variety of them.... |
