IIRC it was even a plot point in Desperate Housewives that Eva Longoria’s character couldn’t speak Spanish. Even her fictional character was more authentic than “Hilaria!”

Too bad neither parent thought of the kids in all of this. They willingly brought them in to it with all of the Spanish names and focus on passing down her “heritage” and “culture”. Pretty pathetic when you’re asking the common public to treat your kids better than you, as the parents, have.
