ECNL forcing Brave & Union Partnership

It really doesn’t depend on the league. When the kids shows up in a college camp, it is all about the skills. Nobody cares what league you played in IMO.

Show up to an ID Camp and see how that goes for you. College coaches know exactly where each kid plays, comes from and even their coach in certain instances. If you think otherwise you're def at HH with the above.

Be prepared to have a chat with your kid. Some of the girls team are already complete.

Is it easier to get there via ECNL/GA because of the opportunities for college coaches to see you? Yeah, of course it is. D1 Power 5 is probably 97% ECNL/GA but outside of that, you'll find RL players sprinkled throughout D1 rosters. GFR is one example of a local RL club that has multiple players going to D1 schools. I know it doesn't fit the narrative but sometimes the facts don't.

Nowadays coaches want you to drive to them either you play ECNL or you play Rec lol. No money or time to waste traveling to
Showcases.

I certainly understand the frustration and disappointment. 2 things to realize are that there are other options, now that there are 3 GA clubs in NOVA, and who really knows how much staying power Fairfax Union has. Read the thread about VA Union boys’ players moving to Arlington. If Fairfax Union boys stink up the joint next year, does Fairfax Union continue on or get the boot?

Does anyone want to bet it reaches 300?

Did we give up after the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
. Forgot about that movie line! Thank you for that!

Not from the players I saw at the last ID session. Was not impressed by any Union players. They did not hold their own.

If the McLean parents come—it’s going to be time to leave. Arlington doesn’t need that toxicity.

No the point is not that these players help Arlington. It is that these are the best players that Union has and they are leaving. So Union is worse off. No meaningful difference to Arlington as you point out.
