Think I need to go to al-anon. Any advice on how to find the right group?

I think lunchtime downtown is going to work best for me. There seem to be a bunch, with random names. I've been to AA in support of friends before (not what is making me seek al anon) so i know how AA chapters can have sort of differen 'flavors' but is the same true of al anon? Do i just go to different ones til one clicks? Can i just walk in (dont need a sponsor like AA, right?). Thanks.

I'm sorry you have to go--I've been there. But it can really help. You can walk into any group, and I suggest you try a few to find a good match. Good luck.
