Good part-time daycare facility in DC BEFORE pre-school age? Does it exist?

Dear all,

Does anyone know of a good daycare facility in Washington DC Northwest (or Chevy Chase / Bethesda) who would allow to take in your child on a part-time basis, let's say 2 to 3 days a week? (and would allow you to pay a part-time fee as well). We are talking about a one-year old infant.
Unfortunately, I have only come across daycare facilities who will charge you full-time for an infant or toddler even if you bring your child 2 or 3 days a week. They will accept part-time care (and payment) for children of pre-school age. So if anyone has better news, I would be very happy to receive it.

I have a home daycare in Adams Morgan and I specialize in part-time care. My hours are from 9am-4pm and children can come as few as 3 hours a week. I know that there is a lack of part time options and I wanted to help fill that gap. There are many SAHMs who need a day for themselves or parents who work part time. I am the perfect place for children the get accustomed to a structured group environment in preperation for pre-school. I would be happy to tell you more if interested.

Maybe try Children in the Shoe in downtown Bethesda. They used to have PT, not sure if that's still true. Alternatively you could try to find someone to split the hours with you for a FT slot by advertising on these board or the listserv. The hard part is that infant / young toddler spots are themselves tough to come by in DC because they require greater staffing and facilities, and most centers can't afford the flux of trying to integrate multiple PT kids into a very small number of FT slots.
