The Cuisinart slow cooker is very good. My only caution is our insert ended up scratched and we had to get a new one. A friend has the All-Clad slow cooker and has not had the issue we had with the insert getting scratched. |

Here are some tips from one of my America's Test Kitchen cookbooks:
--buy one with a minimum of 6 quarts --oval shape vs. round is more versatile --keep warm function only make sense when cooker has a timer West Bend Versatility was in the top 3 and is burner safe |
