I was given this recipe years before the internet but never tried them. Anyone ever actually made them? Are they worth the extra effort of blending the oatmeal?
Here is a link to the recipe: http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/fooddrink/a/cookie_recipe.htm |
| Yes and yes. So good. If you don't blend th oats its more lumpy (not chunky in a good way) and I think they are more dry that way. If you blend the oats, it's like a regular chocolate chip cookie with something that you can't place your finger on that makes it so good and different. |

Yes they are delicious especially with the grated chocolate in the batter. Been making them for years.
Blending the oatmeal isn't that time consuming. Happy baking! |
| Btw, I just read the original "legend" and it says she found out about the $250 on her VISA bill. Neimans doesn't take visa. |
THey do now. Finally. |
| they are really good. my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.... |
| Meh, they are ok but not so much better than regular chocolate chip cookies that I ever go through the extra effort to make them. |
| We did in about 1997. They were yum! Thanks for the reminder! |

Yes; I haven't made them for years, though. I'll have to make them for my kids.
|
| Haven't made them in years but a parent usually makes them for school functions and they go pretty quickly. |
| yes I heard this story back in the days when email was new and the internet was not something everything used or had even heard of LOL so the story has been going around for awhile. The cookies are delicious. |
