My 11 year old daughter is starting to get some small whiteheads on her otherwise perfect skin. I'd like to get her started in a routine with some good skin care products but have no idea what would be good for her age.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a nice cleanser and moisturizer for her? When I was her age I think the options were Noxema and Ponds! ![]() Thanks! |
If her skin isn't too oily I would just use Cetaphil, it's gentle and won't dry her out. Plus you can buy it at Costco.
For moisturizer I'd do one of the high-SPF Neutrogena ones. |
Mine uses Cetaphil and a tiny bit of old-fashioned Clearasil for the occasional pimple. She doesn't use moisturizer. Wonder if that's really necessary at this age? |
Honestly I would take her to the dermatologist better to get her start off On the right foot for skincare |
That's overkill. AM: SPF 30 (I like Olay Sensitive SPF 30) PM: Neutrogena Natural Makeup Removing Wash (it's not clear, so it's less stripping and doesn't encourage more oil production) Clean and Clear Lotion with the purple lid. It has a low dose of salicylic acid and it prevents whiteheads and blackheads |
I agree dermatologist! |
Why is a dermatologist overkill? |
