Costco Chocolate Cake (Pentagon City) - is it good?

| I need to pick up a chocolate cake for a party. The last couple of times I've gone to Costco I've notice a big super chocolate looking layer cake. Has anyone had it? Would you recommend it for a small party? I'm also going to post a 2nd thread asking for other store/bakery bought chocolate cake recommendations for DC. Thank you DCUM nation! |

| It's not horrible, but I've found it more show than taste. The overwhelming flavor is "sweet". There's a depth to the chocolate that's lacking. You wouldn't offend anyone by serving it, but it's not going to make me jump up and down and say "this is the BEST cake ever". |

| My husband loves it. I find it to be too much. I love a Costco birthday cake ha. Their tiramisu cake is good. |

The Wegmans Chocolate cake is hands down the best store bought cake I have ever had. ( I have had the Costco choco cake as well. I think it tastes chemical like)
