So tired!?!

I'm just over 7 weeks along and I have NO energy. Is this normal?

Yes. I'm at 5 months and am just coming out of the woods.
With my first, I had all of the energy in the universe, but I was so nauseous I couldn't move for about 6 weeks.

This time around, I don't feel like I'm living on a boat, and yet by 3 pm, it's naptime, whether I'm in a client negotiation meeting or not.

Good luck!

Me, too. was tired and sick first time around and now with pregnancy #2 even more so. Achier, too. Not fun. One of my good friends always laments how she likes her babies much more "on the outside, than on the inside."

It's ridiculous - almost freaking dibilitating. I was working out 6 times a week before and now at 9 weeks pregnant I am lucky to get 2 small easy workouts in. Way worse than with #1 - but maybe it's more pronounced because my m/s is not nearly as bad.

Thank goodness I work from home- the naps have been saving me. I just feel like SUCH a slug. THe other day I almost started sobbing wondering how I was supposed to survive 6 more weeks of this (hoping I'm all energized and annoyingly bubbly by 14 weeks like w/1st pregnancy, lol).

You may want to get your iron levels checked.

I was soooo exhausted in the first trimester I couldn't even begin to tell you. I have to confess I probably should not have even driven (at least the beltway traffic is slow enough I could get away with heavy eyelids and lethargy). I thought it was all normal and part of the pregnancy thing (my first), but when my blood work came back I had severe anemia and was urged by the my doc. to see a hematologist right away. I did and was prescribed a safe iron supplement. I felt much better within a few days.

Good luck. Be patient with your body as it adjusts!

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH! It's nice to know there are others out there going through this.

I think some of my fatigue may have been because I cut out the (pretty little) caffeine I was drinking with the first pregnancy. I cut my one cup of tea, and my 8pm I would fall asleep on the couch. I would think this would be worse if you gave up coffee.

For this 2nd pregnancy, I kept to my usual 1 caffeine tea (when I wasn't barfing that is!). That seemed to help a bit.

But being tired is completely normal. Get used to going to be early!
