Camping in MD or VA??

Anonymous
Hi!

My family would like to go camping for a couple of days in October or November. There will be 10 of us, 4 adults and 6 children (4, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 15).
I would ultimately like a someplace with a cabin and a bathroom, lol.
Any suggestions for places in MD and VA, no longer than 2 hours away?

Thanks

I second both of these suggestions. Though I think the cabins don't have their own bathrooms-you use the bath house?

We rented a cabin in Lost River State Park in West Virginia too and loved it.

Cunningham Falls is great - they have 4 and 6 person cabins, I think. Easy access to biking and hiking trails.

Check out the KOA website. There are all sorts of camping options, including cabins with bathrooms.

Check out the Yogi Bear parks. There is one in Luray (I think a little more than an hour?) but the one in Natural bridge was awesome (it is 3 hours away). I found it well worth the drive AND if you want something else to do while there, check out virginia safari.

check out www.vrbo.com - and search for rentals near luray or front royal so you can be near an entrance to shenandoah national park.
