splurging on boots

may decide to splurge on the frye boots i've been looking at for three years. have never spent more than $100 on boots. can't decide whether to buy short ones or riding boots. need shorts ones this year but think the riding boots may be a better long term investment. assuming they'll last forever!

In your case, get the riding style. More longevity. And with Frye and a riding style, you'll have them for years. Worth every penny. I'm the type of person to spend money on some things but not others. Not-too-trendy boots are something I would spend the most on. Get cute stylish short boots from Steve Madden or even a Payless type of store.

I agree with 07:09 - if you can afford them, buy them! I complimented a new friend on her riding boots last winter, and she said they were Fryes that she bought four (yes FOUR) years earlier. They looked amazing, and she said she hadn't even done anything to take care of them.

Also pregnant and just bit the bullet on the Melissas. I had been eyeing them for years. I LOVE them!!! If you can afford it, go for it. They will last forever and will never go out of style.
