Jenn-Air Versus Kitchen-Aid

Anonymous
I just committed to Jenn-Air Pro over the Kitchen-Aid Pro. Now I'm having buyer's remorse after reading the DCUM thread. Wolf and Subzero are out of my budget. These seemed like a great higher end compromise. Any insight? Thanks!

Why bother even asking since you committed? What's done is done. Now you have to live with it.

OP here...
I have up until delivery to change my mind. I paid my deposit and have second thoughts. I can easily switch to KA or even another brand. No need to be snarky. It's a big investment. I'm just hoping for some helpful feedback and insight from DCUMers who have purchased either line recently.

Aren't they both made by Whirlpool?

My sister's built-in Kitchen-Aid refrigerator broke 6 months after installation. All of their food spoiled. She HATES Kitchen-Aid.

Everyone I know gives bad reviews to at least one of their appliances. I don't think any of them are made like they use to be. Not to mention time spent on a boat from China.

We have a Jenn-Air electric range and have had nothing but problems with it. Had to threaten to sue them in small claims court before they would give me the time of day in customer service. Probably wouldn't purchase any of their products but have had similar issues with GE and Kenmore....

kitchenaide makes the best diswashers, GE makes the worst fridges, GE makes good stoves.

I have a Jenn Air fridge, dishwasher, gas cooktop and oven and love them all. Have had a few minor problems with the oven and never problems dealing with customer service or getting a technician out fast.

fridge: KA or Maytag or Samsung
cook (gas): Bluestar or Dacor
dish: Miele or Maytag
oven: electric convection that is not overpriced (IKEA, Koreans, etc.)
