Anyone dealing with POTS Syndrome in you or DC?

Looks like DC may get the diagnosis and I have some symptoms too. Would love to hear of anyone else's experience.

My dear friend (in another state) has it. The cutting edge for POTS is an exercise program that stresses the heart to increase capacity. I don't know what resources are available in DC, but if the symptoms aren't too bad, you can work with a trainer to develop a protocol based on the big study. It's also important to support the heart nutritionally - if you're veggie, stop. Eat grassfed meat, including heart, fish, lots of dark greens. Cut out polyunsaturated oils and excess grain.

She's improved a great deal over time, but still takes medication and can't push it.

Thanks, PP.

I am assuming you guys got tilt table tests, right? That is the surest way to diagnose.

A friend of mine is a personal trainer who works specifically with POTS kids. Dr. Howard Bennett in DC has her name.
