The Hoyse just adjourned after only Eight Days

The house did Eight Days of work since the summer break, and now they are gone. Obama can play golf as much as he damn well pleases, eight days is a disgrace. What happened to that fiscal cliff that only Congress can prevent???! Effing hypocrites.

I know someone running for Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner in DC (a position most of us would run from), who has already begun campaigning several hours a day. Do you honestly think there is a member of the House -- except perhaps for a few who are unopposed or not running -- who could focus on legislation when they have an opponent campaigning back home? We should probably be thrilled they are not here grandstanding for re-election. God knows what they would pass!
