Apparently wingnuts will not patronize the company, now that they have stopped giving to anti-gay causes and pledged to be decent to everyone.

I can't wait to hear from the sock puppet that claimed he was going to bring Chic-Fil-A for breakfast for his entire office every Wednesday, then claimed he was a pharma rep who was bringing Chic-Fil-A to his clients, and then claimed something else that I don't remember. I wonder what he'll be serving for breakfast this Wednesday?

Unfortunately, Chick-Fil-A has started down the unfortunate Susan G. Komen path...hopefully they'll fare better, but I suspect that they will experience a dip from both ends of the spectrum that will take them years to recover. Why do businesses not realize that there are certain areas where you just don't stick your nose in. And politically messy topics that are unrelated to your company's primary business should be off your radar completely.

Dan Cathy was welcome to hold whatever political beliefs he wanted and donate his own money anyway he wanted. But he did his company and brand a disservice by trying to use his food service company to push a political agenda.

+1000. First rule of retail, do not so stuff that will piss off customers and potential customers - stay neutral.

Just interested, are you gay/lesbian? Because it would make sense since they have responded to your concerns.

Had they experienced a drop off in sales after the initial craze day? I know I decided to personally no longer eat there.

I'm fine with people holding whatever beliefs they want, but businesses need to stay out of political causes. No matter what, you are going to tick someone off.

I don't know that I will go back at this point.

It's a private company that owns its stores, so we'll probably never know. But I imagine they aren't responding out of the goodness of their hearts.

It's amazing what passes for food these days.

Didn't CFA later release a statement that the story about them stopping the controversial donations was false?
