Infertility Support and Discussion
|
I went in for an ultrasound this week after having a miscarriage a week ago. While looking at my ovaries, the technician commented how I had lots of follicles. I got the impression that she was trying to tell me something positive - which I appreciate because obviously things have not been so happy for me lately. But I really have no idea what she meant or if that's a good thing/bad thing/neutral thing, and didn't bother to ask. So.... are lots of follicles good? What does that mean?

| Lots of follicles is a good thing! Trust me. When I was TTC at the age of 42, my dr. commented during an u/s at how pleased he was to see so many follicles (this was 4 or 5 days after ovulation). He made sure I made an appt. in 8 days for a pregnancy test, and sure enough, I was pregnant. |
| Agree with PP. Lots of follies is good. |
