New Franklin (DC) parents-- how do you think it's going?

We are tentatively pleased, but it's hard to know when you can't visit the classrooms easily.

We are really happy. Our DD is having trouble with drop off still, but the teachers are great with both her and us. Really pleased with the amount of attention we are getting from the lead teacher in the room. She is quick to return emails and phone calls. The parent association events in our room and the amount of school events in general is almost too much, but we are feeling like we have established a new peer group for our whole family without really putting much effort into it.

PP are you in the primary class or 2s program? I haven't had the same experience (re: school events) but perhaps the room parents in our class are not as active.

I've had some issues with lack of coordination/ communication between main teacher and afterschool teacher, but I guess we will figure it out.

Do you think both parents attend the social night? I don't know that we will get a sitter for both of us to attend (maybe one will attend, and then the other).
