The PCMC's mission statement seems to be:

The Parents' Coalition of Montgomery County, Maryland seeks to achieve the goals of coherent, content-rich curriculum standards; high expectations combined with timely remediation and acceleration; a wider range of educational options for parents and children; greater transparency and accountability; and meaningful community input.


I saw posts commenting on why they think Pearson is making money off of Curriculum 2.0. Have they taken up the cause of what many view as the problems of Curriculum 2.0 -- what someone described as a race to the middle?

Curriculum 2.0 is a disaster for kids who need (and are ready) for more enrichment or acceleration. Let's hope someone speaks up for the kids and the parents of MoCo who want more for their kids than this new curriculum can provide.
