Keurig K-cup system vs Vue system for Keurig virgin

Anonymous
Ok, as the only one I know who drinks coffee and still doesn't have a Keurig, I've been tempted by the new Vue system that claims to brew stronger coffee in tall cups. This is the main reason I've held out...I like a strong, tall cup. I've made this on Keurig at the office by using 2 k-cups one after the other, but its seems such a waste and kinda defeats the point to me of the simple system. but I'm interested in the new Vue system. Any Keurig experts who can weigh in with insight/experience? do you think the vue will replace the k-cups? will they ever have the selection of different coffees the k-cups currently enjoy. And what's the point of the 'fill your own' k-cups or vue cups? why not just make a pot of coffee if you're going to go to that trouble? Advice please?
thanks

Never tried the Vue, but am a daily Keurig user. We do, however, use the Cuisinart model and the largest cup choice is 12 oz, which was the biggest available when we bought it.

I just starting doing the brew your own. It actually is a lot easier than you would think. It is a reusable filter, so you just put a the coffee in (I fill it 7/8 full) and pop it in the holder (you actually remove the normal pod holder and this slips in that spot). My father who is a bit of a coffee nut (roasts his own beans kind of nut) came to visit and I was waiting for his reaction to the Keurig. I pulled out the never used brew your own insert and he figured it out and was quite happy with the coffee from his beans. You can definitely make the coffee stronger this way and you can have the convenience without being held hostage to the quality of coffee that is available.

I bought a Keurig and didn't love it as much as I thought I would. If I had to do it again, I would buy the Nespresso. After a $125 for the machine and then another $50 or so trying all kinds of KCups to get a good flavor, I could have been almost all the way to the purchase price of the Nespresso.
