Does it exist?? Looking for a less rigid day care center in Alexandria where children are not forced to sit in circle time

It does exist. I do daycare and I am sorry but I do not believe in forcing a child to sit down at circle time, doing papers, etc. If they want to sit and do that, then fine, but to force them? my kids learn through hands on activities, dancing, playing, jumping, running, etc. When I read to them, if one of them dont want to sit and listen, they are welcome to continue playing, however the do need to keep their voice quiet so that those who Are listening can continue to do so. I think it is sad for children to be forced to sit down and do certain activities. People need to remember they are still children. We learn through our classes that we are to allow them to create things on their own and not tell them how to do it. Let them unleash their own qualities in life. That said, the kind of daycare you are looking for does exist, you just need to keep looking until you are lucky enough to find it.
