Are Magna Tiles worth it?

Anonymous
I just spent 110 dollars on magna tiles for my three year old. Before I open the box (so I can still return at this point) does anyone have any opinions as to whether they are worth the outrageous amount of money?

They are outrageously expensive, but I think they are great.

No, they are not worth $110. My opinion as the owner of a set.

They are absolutely worth it. My children have 2 sets, and we will probably continue to add to them over time. It is one of the very few toys I can think of that both my 5 and 3 year old regularly play with together. We've had them for about 18 months, and they still get played with at least 5-6 times a week.

Definitely worth it. Kids from 1 year to 8 years who play at our house love them!

Yes! We save them as a rainy day only activity. It keeps them fresh and always in the rotation. We've owned them for two years.

We have them, 4 yo, 2 yo and 15 mo, and they get played with everyday. We got them almost a year ago. Worth every penny.

Best toy we have ever had. Got at age 2, 8.5 year still plays with them. The more sets the better. Kids gravitate towards them at our house since nobody else has them.

Does your child play with similar toys? I've learned from experience that my child does not enjoy playing with blocks, legos, etc, even if he will sometimes do so at someone else's house. So I've stopped buying those kinds of toys for him. If your child doesn't normally gravitate towards that kind of building toy, I wouldn't spend the extra money for an expensive set.

My kid has them at school and LOVES them.

My 2 and 4 year olds got them at Christmas and have played with them every single day since

They are a great toy and can be used in so many different ways.

Absolutely worth every penny, and this comes from someone with very little financial wiggle room. We add to our collection every Christmas, and it is the #1 toy for everyone, especially guests who come to our house.

Mag formers are just as expensive, and just as worthwhile. Have fun!

Magna tiles are even more expensive than they were b/f b/c the factory in Thailand where they're made suffered horrible floods:

We love them. They are a good toy, and you're helping the factory rebuild along the way.
