"I don't think that we would consider them an ally, but we do not consider them an enemy," Obama said, reacting to the ongoing and intense demonstrations outside the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.

The State Department, cutting through the confusion over President Obama's claim that Egypt is not a U.S. ally, contradicted his characterization Thursday. For the record, spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said, Egypt is considered a major non-NATO ally.

Although I do think it's clear that everyone at the White House and the State Department needs to calm down, talk more, and coordinate more clearly before speaking. This is crisis management 101.

"Not clear?" The freaking Muslim Brotherhood took over (including the new President), which wants Sharia Law and for all Christians to convert to Islam. Christians are being murdered right now in Egypt. This President REQUESTED the rioting going on right now - he incited it. He supports it. How can it be any more clear? Egypt HATES us and all Christians. We set Egypt back into the dark ages.
