Soccer snacks?

Soccer mom looking for ideas for after soccer game snacks for 6 yr old DD and her teammates.

Ugh. My 5 year old plays soccer and I hate the snacks. Why do they need anything besides water? Has anyone heard there is an obesity crisis in this country. It is not like they play for two or three hours.

This. Orange wedges are the ubiquitous snack at halftime.

No nuts, not juice, no sugar, no wheat, no red dyes, not processed, no non-organic anything!!!!

Seriously, it is a fun treat. If you want your kid to only have water, don't accept the treat. It is very simple.

I am guessing that if OP looks closely at the soccer team, there is not a single obese child in sight. There is probably not a single chubby child on the team.

OP, for drinks, parents usually bring things like small Gatorades, Capri Sun, juice boxes, or mini bottled water.

For snacks, I have seen everything from cookies and packaged Cheetos to apple slices and orange wedges. Goldfish are a good standard, as are Teddy Grahams. I have even seen parents send candy bags and cupcakes when the game was close to Halloween and freezer pops when it is early in the season.

Bring whatever small treat your kid will enjoy (my kids always love helping pick the team treat), and don't worry about the anti-fun brigade. The small amount of sugar/salt/empty calories that your little treat will provide will more than likely be burned off during the game.

Not sure if the pp means Smart Popcorn but I always buy the individual bags of that. I always make sure to have extras for siblings and parents.
