Argh --Another mistake

Yes, yet another one. This time with ordering medicine. I know we have all experienced them. I have experienced them via two clinics. I have never encountered a business that has worse customer service than fertility clinics. The worst part is that there is nothing you can do!! We changed clinics and the same types of mistakes happen at our new clinic as did at our old one. You read about the same type of mistakes at all of the three popular clinics in this area.

I also hate that when they try to explain the basis for the mistake, which generally amounts to it is someone else's fault. I don't care. Just fix the problem and get me pregnant.

Just needed to share. I think I need to go to my happy place now.

I'm sorry..those kind of mistakes suck! Though I guess I get some comfort out if knowing I'm not the only one and other clinics do it too.

If it helps, after the first such mistake I've insisted on confirming doses etc with my RE before ordering. This actually did help catch another possible error. I get the sense that the nurses don't like my insistence on this, but I don't really care. My RE also checks and responds to email quickly, so that's made it easier.

I experienced so much ineptness that it swayed our decision to not pursue treatment. Nothing worse than being emotional and having to deal with/give money to people who don't give a shit enough to even perform the very basic functions of the job and treatment process.

OP, which clinics are you/have you been with...or if you don't want to say, I would suggest some of the smaller one in the area. Maybe these are who you are speaking of, but I have been with Columbia, who was awful and made constant mistakes and oversights. Went from them to the Muasher Center in Fairfax and it is night and day. Super small and zero nurse/info stress. Have also been very happy with and confident in Dominion Fertility. (Yes, I have tried way too many area REs!) People also talk about Dr. Frankfurter at GW and I am thinking that is a small practice as well.

OP - I hear you! I have been trying since Aug. 21 to get meds from Aetna and they keep making one mistake after another. It is beyond incompetent.
