recommendation for weekday breakfast in Palisades?

I'm meeting a friend halfway between our offices - can anyone recommend a place for us to get breakfast/coffee and have a visit in Palisades? Thanks!

Wait - that's not really helpful is it? Unfortunately there really aren't great options for breakfast in the Palisades. There is a marvelous market where you can get coffee/pastries and sit outside, and of course Starbucks, but if you're looking for a real breakfast restaurant it's not the neighborhood for that.

If you go a little farther up Macarthur you can go to Praline - it's about a mile or less over the DC line. Great coffee and breakfast pastries.

Yeah, it's slim pickings. What about turning off MacArthur on to Mass Ave to Au Bon Pain? Might be a little far afield for you.

There is a Pain Quotidien on Mass and 49th in Spring Valley which isn't too far.

Listrani's opens at 11 and is very casual. Starbucks, too. If you don't like the pastries there you can pick something up at safeway and eat it there.
