My 3 year old Vista came apart tonight. Its hard to explain but one side of the wheel base basically became separated from the other in a way that looks like only a blow torch or soldering tool could reconnect. Does this seem problematic or just what I should expect from 3 years of normal/heavy use. (Of course the warranty is 2 years.) I probably used it to walk 2 miles a day, 4-5 days a week (in good weather), with 2 kids for the last 1.5 years.
And any suggestions for what to replace it with? I am not buying another one, and need a good commuting double stroller. (Does not need to go in Metro; just outside.) TIA. |
| I have had one for a year, plan on having 2 or 3 more kids, and if this thing doesn't last till my youngest is walking to kindergarden I'm going to be one pissed off consumer. This thing cost more than my first car! |
| Exactly! I'm trying to figure out if I have a right to think this is a defective product (though since its out of warranty, I probably have no recourse anyway). I can call the store where I got it but they will probably just tell me tough luck. I bought the rumble seat and everything - so sunk even more $$ in. |
| I would call UppaBaby customer service (not the store you bought it from). I've heard their CS is good. |

Their CS is amazing. I'd definitely write them an email with pictures.
They sent us a brand new one when ours fell apart and it has lasted 2 years and it's doing beautifully! |
| I would definitely try their customer service before you do anything else. |

My sister's expensive (but not UP) stroller is still going strong after 2 kids and 4 years. I would be pissed if I were you. I think you have a defective product.
