Have you ever filed a complaint against a PTA?

Who are you complaining to? The principal??? The Board of Ed? Joshua Starr??? I don't understand what "power" the PTA has.

Was this "the PTA" in their official capacity or did you have some run in with someone who happens to be a PTA officer?

You should probably, with evidence and a solid story and no emotions, talk to the principal first.

Is someone on the PTA a bully? Or are you a bully, OP? What happened, did you want to run a project and it was voted against? That's life, sometimes in an organization where decisions are made by committee and voted on by members, your great idea gets voted down. You sound like you need to get a hobby.

They must have forced her to buy wrapping paper. Actually, the wrapping paper catalog usually has nuts in it, maybe she has a nut allergy but was bullied into selling the stuff anyway.

I think you begin with the State PTA. Let us know what happens.

I don't think the principal or the Board of Education have anything to do with the PTA unless they tolerate bullying on school grounds (and they do).

There is usually a local levels within a state, so maybe you could start there. On the other hand, it might be more appropriate for you to speak to the principal.

Talk to someone at the MCCPTA - the Montgomery County Council of PTA's.

I am unable to imagine how a PTA could bully parents, but would love to hear some details.

If you really need to know I went to the first PTA meeting of the year and they were pushing peanut brittle. Boxes and boxes of it. I bought one box. They threatened me saying that I was cheap and did not support the school. A group surrounded me and made fun of my weight. I left in tears.

Later I was harrassed on Facebook, Twitter, and by email. It was horrible. I was called a fat load and big elephant.

One woman came to my house with a case of this stuff and demanded that I buy it.
