Traffic to and from Outer Banks at Thanksgiving

| Having read all of the other threads about going to and from the Outer Banks during the summer (and how terrible the traffic is on 95 and also once you get to OBX), I am wondering about our Thanksgiving plans. We are planning to go to Corolla Wed-Sun of Thanksgiving week. Anybody done this? How was the traffic on 95 and on the bridge in and out of OBX? How was the weather? Any other Thanksgiving/OBX tips? Thanks!! |

| 95 will have he general Thanksgiving suck age, as will 64. Since it's off season you should have less issues over the Wright Memorial Bridge. |

We typically go down for veterans day weekend. Agree with PP that the traffic just sucks as it would for any holiday.
It is quite cool on the beach. We were there during a pretty major storm once but I love being down there during that time. I would just check ahead about restaurants (if you plan on going out). Lots of them close off season. Have fun! |
