If you live in DC - what grocery delivery would you use?

A friend had recommended Harris Teeter Express Lane - but it is not available in DC.

So what service would you recommend?

peapod

I've been using Peapod for about six months now with generally good results. If I were grading the service, I'd give it about an 85%. The problem, if you can call it one, is that sometimes they're running late and miss their 2 hour window for delivery. The delivery guys have always been polite and helpful, however.

I've not tried Safeway.com but haven't heard positive things about it. I might try it just for comparison purposes one of these days, though.

I've used both Peapod and Safeway; currently using Peapod. Peapod has been better about being on time, but it has been harder to get the delivery times I want. Both periodically leave things out of the order, and both have sent me expired yogurt on one or two occasions.

In general though, I feel incredibly fortunate to have services that work as well as they do. My mother could really have used a service like this when I was a kid.
