Here is a link to the Dept. of Ed website. It is basically an award given to schools that have shown academic excellence. The schools have to apply for the status.

Got a question about Key Elementary. . .we were in the neighborhood last weekend and my son saw their playground and wants to go play there. Are non-students permitted to play on the playground after school hours, or is there an after school program which would make this impossible? He has a doctor appointment in the Palisades this Friday so I thought we could go around 4:00 before his doctor appointment at 4:30, thoughts?

we use the playground in the late afternoon (5ish) all the time. never seen any organized activity there. it's a fun playgound
