I wasn't really sure. I thought just as people get creative with cocktails, they might get creative with their home remedies.

I'd always used whisky, not rum. But this week I found myself out of whisky and out of lemon, so I did it with lime and tequila. Worked pretty well; I thought other people might have favorite home remedies.

When I was traveling in Ireland and one of our group was sick the hot toddy one bartender made had while cloves stuck in the lemon rind.
