Well, I'm the OP of the Romney Convention Bounce thread. So what's good for the goose is gravy for the gander. I'll open with the same prediction: 5 pts on Gallup.

What do you think? Are the cynics right, that amid a storm of campaign ads the conventions are meaningless? Will we see a bounce? Could he drop?

Yes, I think he'll drop. His speechifying just doesn't get the job done like it used to. And two words, jobs report, they're shitting egg rolls.

You do get that polls are lagging indicators, and today's numbers don't really reflect yesterday's horrific jobs numbers.
