Need recommendations for NYC

| We are planning to go to NYC somewhere between mid Oct and mid Dec with our 6 y.o. daughter for a long weekend. Are planning to see The Little Mermaid or Mary Poppins. Also planning a trip to the American Girl Doll Store. Does anyone have any hotel recommendations for places that are nice and welcoming to children? And indoor pool and a spa for mommy would be a plus. |

| We stayed at the Palace last year at Christmas time. Located across from St. Pats all the things you mentioned are easily accessible. They treated my daughter like a queen! |

| The Plaza used to be very good with kids. Upgraded us to a tremendous suite b/c they thought it wsas soooo cute I was traveling alone with my 2 yo DD, and the entire staff - from waiters to bellhops - fawned over her. However, this was pre-renovation/selling part as condos, so you may want a more recent review. |
