Please explain to me why everyone thinks Mitt Romney will be a conservative president

He was elected Governor of Massachusetts. This should say it all.

Are you suggesting that Romney may not be entirely honest about how he describes his current views? That's unthinkable.

If he does not do what he is told, they will release his taxes.

Because he is running on a right wing platform. Also, if he's elected it means the right wing went out of their way to support him. He will owe them (and they will absolutely cash in).

I believe that statement refers to a comparison to what we have now...

The problem with a flip flopper is, you don't khow whether you are going to get the flip or the flop.

And remember, nobody runs for one term of office. He has to put together another winning coalition in four more years.

Lastly, most of his money is coming from big money conservative donors. We're not talking about the people who show up in tuxes and ball gowns to a swanky affair. We are talking about really, really big money. And he's going to owe them big time.

Why would you assume a GOP majority in the HR would be any more open to less than conservative legislation than they are. now.

One cannot forget who "owns " Romney. Between the Koch's and Adlesons they have reportedly donated PAC funding totaling > $350 mil with more to come. They didn't donate out of the goodness of their greedy little hearts - they are buying themselves a president to do their bidding
