REP PAUL RYAN DECLARED A BLATENT LIAR

Anonymous
The golden boy realty blew it with his speech. Every fact checker agrees he lied about: Affordable Care Act, Medicare,
GM Plant closing and his part in Simpson Bowles.
He was pathetic with his silly scripted defense of the lies contained in his speech and the party platform ( it's silent on abortion for rape and incest) when he appeared with Brian Williams this evening.
The party appears morally bankrupt having to resort to outright lies.
Rep Ryan really grabbed the news cycle.
LIAR LIAR YOUR PANTS ARE ON FIRE

WSJ nobody buying GOP LIES. 47 % more viewers tuned in to hear Palin than Ryan

It's kind of unforgivable given his background. Didn't he start as a speechwriter? How can he not know or care about fac checking? It's one thingbtomprovide your own interpretation. But blaming Obama for a plant closure that occurred prior to his election? Come on, he just gave three get out of jail cards to Joe Biden for the debates.

"A lot of guys I went to high school with worked at that GM plant. Right there at that plant, candidate Obama said: 'I believe that if our government is there to support you … this plant will be here for another hundred years.' That’s what he said in 2008. Well, as it turned out, that plant didn’t last another year. It is locked up and empty to this day. And that’s how it is in so many towns today, where the recovery that was promised is nowhere in sight." - Paul Ryan

"And I believe that if our government is there to support you, and give you the assistance you need to re-tool and make this transition, that this plant will be here for another hundred years. The question is not whether a clean energy economy is in our future, it’s where it will thrive. I want it to thrive right here in the United States of America; right here in Wisconsin; and that’s the future I’ll fight for as your president." - February 2008 campaign Obama gave at the Janesville plant

And prior to taking office, while under Bush's watch the plant was closed. Obama wasn't president, or even elected he was campagining.
What's your point???

Here is Paul Ryan's press release from Oct. 13, 2008 announcing that the plant would be closed on Dec. 28, 2008:

Obama hadn't even been elected when Ryan sent out this press release and the plant closed before Obama took office.

Plant was in life support waiting for help until it finally shutdown in 2009.

Point being is if you were there at the plant the suggestion was if you elect obama the government will support you with the tools to keep the plant open for another 100 years . the words obama used and him speaking at the plant are related and not a coincidence.

Are you saying that Obama should have picked winners and losers? That would be against Romney/Ryan policy. That would be hypocritical. Sort of like criticizing Obama for cuts in future Medicare growth when your own budget includes the same cuts. Sort of like saying the stimulus program didn't create jobs while requesting stimulus funds in order to create jobs in your district. Sort of like saying Obama didn't support Simpson-Bowles when you voted against Simpson-Bowles. It would be so out of character for Ryan to be a hypocrite.

Ryan's own office says it was game over in 2008. He can't contradict his own office on stage. None of your fast dancing is going ot change that.

But at crunch time (when votes are cast) what, if anything, will those who are now undecided remember about this speech? Or this convention?

Not a thing. It's an age-old rule that you never let your opponent define you. Too late. Romney is so malleable, that he cannot define himself and, thus, cannot help but be defined by his opposition. He can't be the guy who ran against Ted Kennedy. That guy was pro-gay rights and pro life. He can't be the guy who was governor. That guy was pro-gay rights, pro life, AND passed Romneycare. His record at Bain is too messy, and it reminds people that he is part of the super wealthy who get to play by different rules than the rest of us (by, for example, dumping money off shore to avoid taxes). They guy who "saved" the Olympics did it by begging Uncle Sam for the funds to do so. So you're left with someone who has no history of supporting everything he claims to support now.

In short, he may be a decent guy, but he's a terrible candidate.
