I kind of feel sorry for Romney...

I'm a dem, but come on. I think he's probably a nice guy. He COULD be a decent candidate if his party would allow him to stand on his own two feet. he is obviously a puppet. He always looks like he's thinking "I wanted to be president, but not like this."

I mean, Grover Norquist (the gift that keeps on giving) said this:

"All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate. [...]
Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared."

they did this to McCain too. I always thought he was one of the few republicans I would likely vote for. Then he actually started campaigning and was barely recognizable.

He didn't get a lot of genuine support on the podium, wife excluded of course. The delegates are enthusiastic about beating Oama but people have to like Romney to vote in great numbers for him.

Don't bother feeling sorry. He's the next president of the Unite States!

That's what we'll be saying if he wins.

So true!! Funny, when Obama was sure to win last time, we didn't hear any "I kinda feel sorry for John McCain" did we? Oh no, it was "We are the ones we have been waiting for!!!" and all that jazz.

That's very cute, but you know he's not gonna win, right? Do you realize that Obama and Biden will wipe the floor with them in the debates?

With the way things have been going, Obama can beat them without even having to leave the house. The GOP is a disaster right now, and there's no end in sight! let's review:

can't get pregnant from rape

Rape and having a child out of wedlock is pretty much the same thing

GOP delegates throw peanuts at black camerawoman saying "this is how we feed the animals."

GOP delegates heckle a Puerto Rican speaker

The entire debacle was centered around an out-of-context statement that Obama made.*

Paul Ryan is introduced as VP pick (actually he was introduced as the next prez, but whatever. We all make mistakes.) on the deck of a military ship, implying that they have military background.

Ryan keeps accusing Obama of shutting down a GM plant that closed in 2008.

that's just off the top of my head. What did I miss?

*If you didn't hear Obama's speech and can't find it online, that's ok. Mitt Romney made the same statement about the athletes at the SLC games , and I happen to have it right here:

"You Olympians, however, know you didn’t get here solely on your own power. For most of you, loving parents, sisters or brothers, encouraged your hopes, coaches guided, communities built venues in order to organize competitions. All Olympians stand on the shoulders of those who lifted them. We’ve already cheered the Olympians, let’s also cheer the parents, coaches, and communities."

It will be great to see a Mormon High Priest as President of the USA. It will complete this country's transition from greatest country in the world to a religious freak show run by amoral oligarchs for their own ends.
