Do some people never cut their toenails?

Let me just say that long nails, and long toenails especially, give me the willies. Yuck! A woman at work always has long toenails that sometimes look like they may have broken off. They never ever look short and like they've just been cut. She puts nail polish on them, so she seems to spend some time on them at some point. It's very confusing...and gross. As soon as my toes get a little long, I have to cut them or if it's summer, I'll get a pedicure. Do some people just never ever cut their nails? Obviously, I can't ask this woman, but I do wish she would stop wearing sandals.

I don't know, but I have noticed that, since the trend to do French manicured toenails became more popular, some ladies keep their toenails much, much longer than I'd ever feel comfortable with!! After a while (of growth), it totally starts to bug me. I don't really know how some ladies go around wtih such long toenails. And I too wonder how they fit in their shoes, or do they have to buy shoes like a 1/2 size up or something? I just don't know.

My MIL and FIL dont. They have the ugliest feet I've ever seen in my life. My FIL toenails would make you want to puke. Luckily he wears socks 99% of the time but that 1% oh man....burned in my memory.
My MIL her toenails are scary too. At least have the decency not to wear sandals if your feet look like a horror movie.

Totally my pet peeve too! I cut my toenails and fingernails all the time. I think long nails are so gross and unsanitary. I have to cut my toenails before going in for a pedicure b/c they never want to cut them. I think those ladies must think the long nails on their feet look sexy or something b/c they keep theirs way too long, in my opinion.

I just came back from the beach and saw some horrific feet. The most memorable was the lady with really long pointy big toe nails (they looked like they had been shaped like that). and painted a lovely shade of orange. GROSS!

I don't get it. Don't toenails become ingrown (rather than long like fingernails) if you let them grow? Mine would at any rate.

Me too, hate them long and DH does not cut his and reminds me of old man or fat man who can't bend down to cut the nails such a turn off.
